Who are the crazy ones?

Those two with me are Korba's sons - Bandit and Grizzly.

Korba had 5 pups - Dijon was born first. Bolo was with Korba all night long. It might sound very childish, but we watched lots of YouTube channels about delivering puppies. Of course, we had the doctor's number just in case something went wrong, but they were born around 4 o'clock in our living room on our black couch. I had a box with a pillow prepared. Dijon was first, then Grizzly, and then Bandit (although he doesn't really respond to this name), and then 2 girls.

Dijon was adopted by my friend from work. I wish him all the best. One of the girls was adopted by the father's owner. We found a very good home for another girl.

We always wanted to keep one puppy - a boy - so the choice was between the two of them.

No one wanted Grizzly, and even if they wanted him, he was always asleep.

Bandit has beautiful markings for a boxer. White collar, white socks, very athletic. Always the alpha male until he got sick, and then Grizzly had to take care of him.

We did interviews, family background checks, etc. The first family picked him on Sunday, a young couple with a small son. We received a phone call on Thursday, "Do you want to take him back? Apparently, he "pushed someone down the stairs".Although I don't believe that. We went and collected him. I still remember how scared he was. But I was pregnant with our second son, and we couldn't keep 3 large/hyper boxer dogs.

So, we did another round of interviews, hoping that this time someone would fall in love with Grizzly. Of course not. A couple came from Dublin. She was beautiful, with ginger long curly hair. They were planning a wedding in December. He was a rugby player, at least he looked like one. They came, fell in love with Bandit.

We dropped him off on Tuesday evening, around 9 pm at night. Received a phone call at 7 am next morning: "We can't keep him; he is too hyper."

Now, that rugby fellow aged during that night by at least 20 years. The black circles underneath his eyes were proof that this dog gave them hell at night. We went back and collected him again, this time promising that no matter what happens, they are staying together.

And that's how we ended up with 3 crazy boxers and 2 kids in a small house with almost no backyard in rainy Ireland.

PS. I am polish - english is my second language - using chatgdp to type it, if there is something wrong, let me know.
